Export-Compliant Packaging Industry

Manufacturers who ship equipment or components around the world cannot afford delays, damage or compliance issues. General Packaging Corporation understands this pressure.

For more than six decades, we have helped medium to large manufacturers protect their products with custom-engineered export packaging, built to meet strict global standards. As one of the few ISTA-certified export packaging suppliers in Texas, and a long-standing provider of ISPM 15-compliant wood crates and pallets, we give your team confidence that every shipment is prepared the right way.

We ensure that your packaging meets international rules, and that it holds its shape through vibration, moisture and long transit times. We offer predictable delivery schedules that keep your line moving.

Engineered Packaging Built Around Your Product

Our most requested service is custom industrial crating for international shipping, designed from the ground up around your equipment. The process starts when a dedicated salesperson meets with your team to understand product dimensions, handling needs and the challenges you’ve faced with previous packaging. Once we understand what you’re shipping and what success looks like, our engineers begin the design.

We create an initial concept that considers load distribution, foam selection, corrugated structure, wood components and any specialty requirements. We review it with you and make any necessary adjustments. We refine the design until it meets your expectations, then build a prototype for real-world evaluation.

Once everything performs as expected, we issue a final price and move into production. All design and engineering work is included at no cost as part of our development process. Of course, we are also happy to work from your design or existing plans.

A Legacy of Engineering Excellence

Packaging may look simple from the outside, but every material choice matters. Corrugated grades, joint styles, coatings, wood species and foam structures all influence performance. Your packaging also makes an impression on customers and end users before they even see your product. We make sure that impression is an excellent one.

Our engineering team draws from decades of hands-on experience across industries, so they know how to reduce shipping damage with custom export packaging.

We also provide innovative export packaging design and engineering that reduces freight issues and helps lower total shipping costs. By tailoring foam density, crate structure and load positioning, our team eliminates weak points and improves stability.

Reliability That Supports Your Supply Chain

Once your order enters production, you’re supported by both your salesperson and a dedicated customer service representative. Manufacturers value this two-person model because questions get answered quickly.

General Packaging Corporation also runs its own fleet of trucks. This allows us to control delivery schedules, offer confirmed drop-off times and avoid the uncertainty that comes with third-party carriers. Our trucks use tracking software so your team always knows when materials will arrive.

Built on Experience and Responsibility

We blend tradition with innovation. Our long-term relationships with suppliers help keep pricing competitive, and our modern manufacturing practices keep lead times steady even on complex builds. We also operate with sustainability in mind. Foam and corrugated scrap are recycled through trusted partners, and wood waste is repurposed for mills or agricultural use.
